“I work with kids that need intervention. I find using the songs really helps them to remember, keeps them moving and is brilliant for spelling and reading…..It’s my kid’s favourite part of the lesson….

You have something special.”

Our end of school play led by the Year 5 & 6 children is always a much anticipated event for the whole school. This year, the production of ‘I Don’t Want to Get Married’ by Silly School Plays surpassed our expectations. (it was fantastic!)The play told the story of the life of Queen Elizabeth I linking brilliantly with the topic being taught in class. The narrative was witty and simple to learn, whilst there was a wide range of music and songs that really engaged the children making rehearsals something to look forward to. The audience laughed, cried and were part of the show. I have never received such praise from parents, grandparents and Carers after a school performance.I will definitely be using Silly School Education next year and I can confidently say if you choose to use Silly school plays you will only be impressed.

Head Teacher – Cheveley School

What can I say about Silly School Education Plays?! They’re education, they’re perfect for schools and they’re silly! It’s a winning formula. Children, teachers (and not forgetting our audiences!) love every aspect of theses plays: the clever, jokey scripts, the fabulous songs and most of all the opportunity for everyone to be involved. We’ve seen children absolutely blossom and shine through taking part. The creative team that is Al and Trisha Highton bring a much needed freshness and flare to presenting plays based on a range of schools topics. whether they be from history, geography or other aspects of the curriculum. Give them a go and you won’t need to look any further for joyful inspiration when it comes to show time!

The brilliant songs and memorable and are a powerful tool to use for teaching children. I’ve have never seen an audience laugh so much and so hard at a performance in my whole career!

Mrs A Josyfon

Teacher – Annemount School

Alex and Trish have produced and directed a number of school plays, which our son has been involved in. The creative scripts, stage designs, musical direction and imaginative costumes that Alex and Trish develop always make the children’s school plays memorable.

It’s always apparent that before and during the performances, every child enjoys the rehearsals and taking part no matter how large or small their involvement. Apart from clearly being fun and easy for the children to understand, every play is tailored around a specific theme or time in history and so provides a useful educational perspective which is also refreshingly very engaging for parents too!

Their productions always include some very topical and often subtle humorous lines or songs which add a light hearted flavour to the performances.

You’re sure to enjoy your child’s next performance directed by Alex and Trish – they know what works!
